Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Change the Culture Foundation (“CTC”, “we”), the organization that operates the CTC Portal. “CTC Studio” is a name we work under, not a separate company. By creating an account or using the portal, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

• You must be 18 or older to create an account.
• Use your real name and an email address you control. The portal identifies you by that address, so however you sign in — an email link, Google or another provider — you reach the same account.
• Keep access to your email and sign-in accounts secure. You are responsible for what is done through your account.
• Your role — member, crew, chapter lead — is assigned by CTC and can change. It determines what you can see and do.

• Every gift goes to Change the Culture Foundation. Donations are processed by our donation provider, GiveButter, under its terms.
• Directed gifts. When you give toward a specific need or project, we use your gift for it. If that need is already fully funded, is cancelled, or can no longer be met as described, the Foundation will apply your gift to the closest comparable need, or to its general work.
• Pledges are not payments. Marking that you intend to fund something records your intent; nothing is charged until you complete a gift, and it is not counted until our team verifies it.
• Receipts and taxes. Your donation receipt comes from the donation provider. Whether a gift is deductible depends on your circumstances — ask your tax adviser.

• Waivers. Most projects require you to sign a waiver when you RSVP. That waiver is its own agreement and governs your participation in that project.
• Clearances. Some roles — especially any contact with minors — require a background check or other clearance. A role that requires one cannot be filled without a current one, and an expired clearance counts as none. We may decline, pause or revoke a clearance or a place on a project at our discretion.
• On site. Follow the project lead’s instructions and the partner organization’s rules. Projects take place at partner sites; you are responsible for your own conduct there.

CTC films its projects. Your waiver explains how footage that includes you may be used.

Do not photograph, film, record or post about the people a project serves — including children and residents — unless your role holds a media clearance and you are following CTC’s media guide for that project. Do not share names or details about them anywhere, including in comments or submissions. Breaking this rule ends your participation.

You keep ownership of what you submit — comments, problem submissions, notes and files. You give Change the Culture Foundation permission to store, display and use it to run projects and to tell the story of CTC’s work.

Public comments are reviewed before they appear, and we may decline or remove anything. Do not post anything unlawful, harassing or misleading, or anyone else’s private information.

You agree not to:

• access records, projects or documents your role does not give you;
• share internal information — partner details, budgets, clearance records — outside CTC;
• impersonate anyone, or create an account for someone else;
• scrape, copy in bulk, or interfere with the portal’s operation or security.

The CTC names, logos, films, photographs and written material in the portal belong to Change the Culture Foundation or the people who licensed them to us. Partner names and logos belong to those partners. Please ask before using any of them.

You can stop using the portal and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing mitch@ctc.studio. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or puts people at risk. Records we are required to keep — gifts, signed waivers — survive an account being closed.

The portal is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and project details — dates, locations, needs — can change.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Change the Culture Foundation is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the portal. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or changes what your project waiver says.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida.

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top of this page when we do. Continuing to use the portal after a change means you accept it. Questions go to mitch@ctc.studio.
